    'He' is the OP.

And when the word 'expensive' is used, it is usual that it refers to the price.

Anything below £20,000,000 is fair game 👍🏻

The most expensive one you own of course!

I've never owned one that I couldn't wear with jeans.
It's just a matter of time...

I've worn my gold PP and AP with a pair of black jeans to a few Michelin starred restaurants, no one cares.

The question depends on the footwear also in use. Jeans and trainers then something like a Panerai. Jeans and shoes then a dress watch is game. Strap must match the shoes. I once wore this Breguet with jeans and posh boots. The trick was to match a ginger strap to the ginger boots. No-one noticed. Result.

A good trick with dressy watches and jeans is to dress them down with a hipster strap. Again, no-one will bat an eyelid and you can get away with this all day.

If you ever see some one wearing something like a classic Datejust with, say, a shirt, jeans or shorts and trainers it just means they are not a WIS and that is their one and only watch.

Can one even buy a pair of jeans for £120.

  11. #61
Richard Mille watches are suitable with jeans I think - not that I own a RM.

As for jeans, I have spent £119.99 on a pair and would not see myself buying any that are more expensive. I would rather spend on a watch.

Hi Cygnus. This is a very interesting question. Even more interesting is what looks good in a gumsha!

Don't forget the belt has to match too!

Jaeger LeCoultre with jeans. Matching colour strap, belt and shoes. I really must start to get out more.

If you were at a nudist resort what would you wear?

Some kind of 'cock'tail watch I presume?

What's the most expensive watch you can wear with a pair of jeans, when the jeans cost more than the watch?

Clearly, any watch cheaper than the jeans you're wearing, by your definition!

Christopher Ward ..... . Decent watch but not really in the same category as Rolex and Omega. Naughty troll

I think you'll find that Velorum's post in its entirety was intended to be humorous.

Personally I thought it was quite witty, but I'm easily amused (so I'm told).

Sounds funny but I actually was not messing around people have genuinely said this to me, strange it might be to believe. That they wear certain watches to work etc. I personally wear anything with anything its a hobby and a laugh at the end of the day not to be taken to seriously.

For seasonality, you can add hats, belts, scarves, gloves, sunglasses etc to the sum formula.

A TZ-UK variant may also be used, where the sum formula can include Brogues, Belstaff jackets, man bags and Canada Goose items.

Now this won't work for me! I own some Florence & Fred £5 jeans, some FCuK jeans amongst many others, always wear my Rolex 16600 or Milguass Black face GV, NO vest, no underpants. Just jeans and a Polo or Dress Shirt OPEN neck no tie, had 40 years of wearing a tie, they are for weddings and funerals now. So as has been previously stated, wear WTF you want with whatever floats your boat. ;-)

Oh no, I'd never even thought about what kind of watch I should wear with no underpants!

Possibly best to just 'strap-on' a G-shock and be ready for anything :-D

This is just common sense no? Certain types of watch definitely go better with certain types of clothing.

Price shouldn't have anything to do with it though.

The question of cut should also be addressed. Are we talking skinny, straight leg or things designed for cowboy boots. I have a watch for each

I would say you can wear any watch you like with say jeans and a T shirt- basically anything goes with casual.

The restriction tend to come with formal wear. Black tie tends to attract pocket watches or no watch at all.

I'm amazed that these old threads resurface (although I missed it first time, so not complaining) - I never get beyond the 1st page.

P.S. I wear any of mine (ranging from £40 up to £20k) with jeans, but I wouldn't wear any of them with a suit.
