Whats the most expensive watch you can wear with a pair of Jeans

Watch enthusiasts often say certain watches go with certain types of clothing. It would be interesting to see what others think of what works with a pair of Jeans.

Nothing less than a ceramic Daytona.

Never having owned any denim clothing I am no expert but I would say nothing more expensive than a mid range Seiko.

Quality pieces such as Rolex, Omega and Christopher Ward should only be worn with proper trousers shirt and tie. At a push the tie can be omitted in favour of a paisley cravat.

Aside from the wincingly uptight idea that you can't just wear whatever you like, what's price got to do with genre? Would a vintage gold dress watch be acceptable with jeans, but not a Rolex Explorer costing ten times as much?

Are these £120 jeans or just ordinary jeans?

What about when wearing assless chaps? asking for a friend...

You can wear any watch in the world with a pair of jeans.

Some watches, unfortunately - run the risk of propelling you into the equivalent of black shoes and white socks with jeans territory - which is death, of a sort...

...however there is nothing to stop anyone wearing what they feel like wearing.

I would suggest the Christopher Ward quality pieces should be reserved for elite occasions only with a dinner suit

Since giving up work I wear jeans 95% of the time........but I still like to wear nice vintage dress watches.

The way I see it (not necessarily correct) is like this: A smart dress watch looks better with more formal dress but anything looks OK with jeans.

As for the jeans, only Levi 501s cut the mustard ........IMO!

If you are not rocking a pocket watch with jeans you are doing it wrong

I only wear mine when in tails or a morning suit.

When dressed for dinner I find a G Shock to be more suitable attire.

Can't help with the op concerning jeans. What I can say as an over 55, overweight bald gentleman, that I look much better in my mankini when wearing my 5513. Hope this helps.

I don't often wear jeans, in fact only for gardening (yes I know I employ people for that, even the butler mucks in sometimes, but I like it) but when I do I wear my HM6 .

While we're on the subject, I've just taken delivery of some new pyjamas and was wondering whether It would be acceptable to wear a nice watch with them or not?

A rolex deep sea with illumines markers could work a treat, so one could see at night.

You disingenuously frame your conversation as a sincere request to be enlightened, placing the burden of educating you entirely on the other party. If your bait is successful, the other party may engage, painstakingly laying out their logic and evidence in the false hope of helping someone learn. In fact you are attempting to harass or waste the time of the other party, and have no intention of truly entertaining their point of view. Instead, you react to each piece of information by misinterpreting it or requesting further clarification, ad nauseum."

    Google offered this pithy definition:

"Sealioning is the name given to a specific, pervasive form of aggressive cluelessness, that masquerades as a sincere desire to understand."

It does work.. there was a chap a while ago that made over 50 posts in about two hours on a thread about a strap he wasn't happy with

Post a daft question and then just reply to everyone

    You are either:

    1) Seikoboy

    or

    2) Desparate to increase your post-count

    (or both)

Well that's two things I've learned today, the other being the non-Trump meaning of MSM.

Today it was Junghans Chronoscope. But I think my -69 Moon Watch is even more proper. So something between 1500 to 4500 euro is ok to me....

I went to a Patek AD the other day and tried on a used 5135g, he said not suitable to wear with a pair of jeans.

And what exactly makes you think that would be because of the price?

Whats the most expensive watch you can wear with a pair of Jeans

    The answer, of course is:

V (watch)< > [Shoes, Socks, Trousers, Underpants, Vest, Shirt, Jumper, Coat]

Where V = current SC value

For seasonality, you can add hats, belts, scarves, gloves, sunglasses etc to the sum formula.

A TZ-UK variant may also be used, where the sum formula can include Brogues, Belstaff jackets, man bags and Canada Goose items.

Yep......and I don't even pay UK prices! My sister goes to Florida twice/year and brings me a pair back at around £30/pair.

Maybe I should get 'em on SC

I slung a pair out recently because the knees were worn through........should've cleaned 'em up and sold 'em to some trendy yoof. They were my garage jeans, complete with authentic oil stains.

Apparently wearing expensive watches on jeans can cause spontaneous combustion.
