Well, the auto version wobbled a bit and is currently heading skyward, as are the Everest flavoured varieties of the Delux. I'd say it's just a matter of time. Oh and they really are lovely watches.
So that's a yes from me.
This little 35mm hand wound Smiths watch turned up in a box of “bits” whilst emptying out the wife’s mum’s bungalow recently. It must have been dads although she does not recall seeing him wear it ever.
It winds up OK, and keeps reasonable time for about 38 hours on a gentle full wind.
Anyhoo, what to do with it? Is it worth getting a service, stripping the pitted chrome case and finishing it? Replacing or polishing the plastic dome. Then finding a nice 17mm leather strap to go on it? Can that sort of major surgery
be carried out?
Thanks, Jim

Thanks M4tt good to hear that, have you, or any other readers, any ideas on a good fettler? I should know of course being on the forum for some time, but not an area of expertise I've had to take notice of before.
