Which watch do you ACTUALLY wear the most?

Some time last year (someone posted a thread, that I can't now find) asking which watches people wore the most.

I think most people just went with their gut feel, but I decided to actually record which watches I was wearing each day.

5 months in and here's the record so far

    Sinn Arktis 16
    Longines Hydroconquest 14
    Sinn EZM7S 13
    Omega Big Yellow 11
    Omega Speedmaster 11
    Breil Manta 10
    Seiko Alpinist 9
    Certina DS-8 8
    Lanco 7
    Breitling B-1 6
    Bulova Deep Sea 666 6
    Breitling Cosmonaute 5
    CJR Airspeed 5
    Citizen 300M 4
    MOD 3
    Omega Seamaster 30 3
    Steinhart Apollon 3
    Hudson Instalite 2
    Novus 2
    Parnis 2
    Seiko 6138-3002 2
    Seiko FFF 2
    Seiko World Timer 2
    Zenith Espada 2
    Jaquet Droz 1
    Poljot Alarm 1
    Pulsar NX-14 1
    Sekonda Navitimer 1
    Sicura 1
    Tissot PRC200 1

As you can see, plenty have had an outing, but there's a definite tendency towards a few favourites.

There are also a few that haven't been out of the box...

I'll try and keep the record going until the end of the year and then report back (But it does make me feel like a terrible anorak and I'm not completely sure that the act of recording what I'm wearing doesn't sometimes influence my decision...)

Since I bought my Arktis, I've worn that most days.
Before that, I wore a G-Shock 6900 on bracelet nearly all the time.
Those are the only two of the two hundred or so plus watches that I've owned that I've worn regularly.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

A Rolex 14060m has been my daily wearer for the past few weeks. Before that I preferred the Seiko Sumo. Clearly, divers are for me !

A variation on the Pareto Principle - 1/3rd of your watches get 2/3rds of the use; whereas the other 2/3rds of the collection get only 1/3rd of the use.

I wear my SD4k every day. Even though I have other more expensive watches, this is my default watch.

Omega Seamaster ceramic in black on Omega rubber, it's perfect.

I love this thing and as it's on the Omega rubber you never see another one out in the wild.

I'm totally the sort of person who would keep a record of watches worn each day, but I'm too lazy to. Still, the winner is indisputable - my Lorenz alarm chronograph, which goes with everything and has all the functions I need. I'm guessing I wear it 25 % of the time. After that, it gets a bit less clear, but I'm guessing my trustworthy old Casio AMW-320R (on bracelet - I happen to be wearing it as I write this) comes second. If it had a countdown timer (I'm increasingly annoyed with digital watches that don't have a timer, what's that all about?), it would definitely be a contender for the top spot.

The picture of the Lorenz, except mine has a matte black dial:

My Speedbird gets 80% of the time and the Seiko 7548 the rest.

The others don't get a look in...

I've subconsciously settled into a routine of my FF during the week

And my DJ at the weekend

Unfortunately this leaves my Super ocean, my Railmaster and my Radiomir with little wrist time

If I owned the Breil Manta it would get most of my time!

Since I got it, the Rolex 15200 pretty much every day, seems perfect for almost every situation, not to OTT for work or down the Pub and smart enough for evening occasions.
Only time it does not get worn is when out walking, which the Seamaster 120m gets the nod. The two Braun watches don't leave the drawer now.

Good question;,I try to wear all six of my watches, usually not at the same time. The current favourite is my Zenith El Tipo cp2, because it's big, clear but not at all shiny or brash. But today, my Speedie. I need to get down to three watches, less guilt.

Hi, it's a linen dial although close up it looks like metallic silver. It's an absolute beauty in the steel so to speak, I'm a rubbish photographer and use my smartphone so the pictures don't do it justice

I could never be organised enough to do a list. I have been starting to wear watches for a few days at a time, I'd say the majority of wrist time is shared between this lot:

I can't say which one I wear the most.

I've had this Fortis B42 Official Cosmonauts for about 3 months now, and apart from occasional wear with my other watches, this has been pretty much on my wrist constantly.

Toss up between Pam 372 and 1680 sub. I switch between them most weekdays.
1675 is off for service, 233 seems to be a holiday/weekend away/longer intervals between wear thing due to the 8 day reserve.
They all see a share tho.

I'm pretty good at rotating but once the 17C finds it's way on to my wrist it can stay for a while.

I'll spare you the figures and the indulgently-ornate planning details .... I used to have a moderately set rotation that used to see most my watches getting a fair crack of the whip.

Then a couple of months ago, I suddenly decided that I wasn't at all interested in having a balanced approach, and since then one single watch has had 3/5ths of my wristtime. Weirdly, it wasn't a new arrival, but the longest-standing member of my collection, and also my biggest watch.

What that sudden shift in tastes indicated, I've no idea. It feels like everything else only gets worn with its permission

I wear my MM300 almost all the time - though a Tuna arrived today and once the bracelet has been sized, I expect that will see some action too!

I need to start tracking this. As a rough guess I think my collection falls into two general categories - "worn sparingly" and "never worn".

All my five digit Rolex references and Omegas get worn to work probably about evenly (maybe 3 times a month for each). My Seiko Tuna gets worn on the weekends. My EZM1 and IWCs never get worn.

I like to keep a reasonably regimented cycle.

    20% Omega 2254.50
    20% Omega Speedy MOTM
    20% Omega Railmaster
    20% BLNR

Which leaves the last 20% as a bit of a mix of a Monaco, SKX or tool watches. My SKX(s), Steinhart, Bulova and Casio don't get much wear.

In terms of estimated wrist time: Breitling Superocean II 44 (60%), IWC Aquatimer 376706 (10%), Bremont MBII (10%), Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel (10%), Magrette Pacific Pro (5%), Garmin Fenix 3 (5%). In terms of "frequency" the Garmin comes 2nd in the list as it's my running watch.

I wear my original Seiko black Monster the most, it is robust enough to be an interesting beater for my job 6 days a week. When lurking around the house, I tend to swap to either an Orient Mako or Tissot PRC200. If I am going out, my go to watch is a Glycine Sub Combat. With the exception of the Tissot, I have never seen any of the others in the wild.

The rest, well, they get worn maybe once every couple of months for a few hours. With reference to HappyJacks earlier post:
1/4 of my watches get 3/4 of the use; whereas the other 3/4 of the collection get only 1/4 of the use.

My most worn watch used to be the 39mm Explorer 214270 but over the last 9 months, I tend to wear the 1655 Freccione Explorer11 to most. It is just so under the radar and that is what I like.
