Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Been unable to load or post for several days. According to their site not alone either.
I used Photobucket for years, and then got fed up of the constant problems.
Switched to imgur, which has been simple and trouble free
I ditched PB last year after persistent problems, endless pop up ads and crap links to crap websites.
I use flickr now and I haven't suffered one glitch in 12 months.
I keep meaning to switch from PB to flickre or alike as its just a wreck of a site these days.
I gave up on Photobucket and use imgur for all my stuff now. If you upload as private they don't get posted to the imgur community but you can still share them on forums, they give you code like PB for each image too. All the images I have posted recently been using imgur and worked perfectly.
one day, all people will realise PB did years ago, its almost like watching the end of an extinct civilization.
Postimage another good alternative... photobucket is useless for some time now... think it needs rebrand replacing the b with an f ...
Sent from my SM-G920F using TZ-UK mobile app
Ian I couldn't see the image that you posted I cleared my browsing history (last 4 weeks) and refreshed the page and the image appeared.
I don't know whether this will help.
I've had pb for years and it does rather seem to be rubbish in the last couple. The latest thing for me is a screen sitting for about a minute saying 'updating media' every time I click on the app. It's also very bloated with ads now too.
I had the same issue last night but specifically to SC. I couldn't even see my own pictures which were posted with Flickr. As for Photobucket, it appears to have been hijacked, with constant adverts and attempts to divert to porn sites.
Looks like its back up and running
For now anyway..................
I moved to the subscription version no pop ups/ads faster and far more stable cost $35.00 pa well worth it for nerves and temper control
Never had any trouble with PB on here but on a guitar forum I post on quite a few moan about PB as apparently it is pony through a phone.
I put it down to poor little children that can't afford a proper PC.
Cheers,
Neil.
I subscribe - it didn't make any difference as regards this current problem and its often very slow anyway.
I don't get many pop ups and adverts etc though.
They are holding me hostage - I can't access my own photos in order to move them away from Photobucket. Can they do this?
They seems to have changed their TOS with regards to 3rd party hosting. I only post img files for TZ!
Any help please?
You're not alone - the ransom fee most commonly quoted is $399 !!

Luckily (or not), I seem to have sneaked in under the wire. Here's a comment I left recently.Photobucket.com Terms of Use

Late last week you automatically collected $29.99 so you can again put me through his hell that you call a photo hosting service – for another 12 months.
What a surprise (not) – today it’s straight back to its old flakey self again.
SIX attempts to upload FOUR images (all less than 1MB) – FFS !!
TWO of them the titles didn’t load (despite my clicking save).
Interspersed with 4 re-directs to the login screen.
PB your PAID service really does suck !!

It almost looks like these guys are harvesting the market. I used their iPhone app for a long time but it's been nearly a year now since that stopped working altogether. It just crashes immediately whenever I open it. The feedback in the App Store indicates a lot of other people are having the same problem. The app now has a one star rating, and the company has done zero about it. Like I said, it almost sounds like they're cashing in before closing up!
Having had several emails with them it appears that I can download my pics to my laptop - phew - I will source a better/free source.
