Girard Perregaux ID help please

A friend of mine recently acquired this Girard Perregaux Giromatic but has no idea of the model or year, can any aficionado`s help wit this ?

serial number is either 82570050 or 92570050.

It may be that a change of direction means that they have no interest in this sort of thing (and, let's face it, Longines seem to be unique devoting suitable resources) or they may have shifted their effort to social media. My inclination would be to check their Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest/Instagram stuff to see if there's an example where they've helped somebody else and, if so, stick this query up there.
