    RIP Greg Allman

    Died aged 69 .I was a big fan of the Allman Bros band and southern rock in general .My favourites are At Filmore East and Eat A Peach

    Not a lot of responses! Massive fan here, playing that remastered version of Filmore as we spreak. It was Greg that got me into real cowboy boots, they did look very cool in "them" days 😎.

    Outstanding organ player but with Duane playing gtr he had to switch. Laid the groundwork for the whole southern rock genre and produced some great gtr playing whether from Duane, Betts or Warren Hayes. Right up there in the excess stakes and death was always in the background. Their father was shot to death, Duane and Berry Oakley died in motorcycle accidents and Butch Trucks later shot himself.

    Amazing he lived so long TBH.

    I am a big fan of the Allmans and now he can join Duane and Berry.
