    Lambrusco

A friend of ours has just discovered Lambrusco, he is in his 60s, should i have him assassinated or does he know something we don'T?

    Yes sweet and fizzy....

Try serving him a nice chilled Côtes du Rhône, that might put him on the right track again ;-)

I must admit i think of this a the same "vintage" as Blue Nun and black tower. Will give him a good talking to in pub tomorrow, he wears a Rolex as well so we need to adjust his thinking there as well.

Maybe your friend does know something.

Try this and see what you think:

Thanks very much for the link, my wife has been looking for a nice Lambrusco for a while and so far had no luck. I'll score some brownie points with this.

    Cheers

in the late 70's I used to work for an Italian guy - He wazza da boss !!! he taught me that if you serve Lambrusco and Asti Very Very cold - it can be appreciated for what it is!!

I still think its piss but that's what he told me and he and his family owned one of the largest Italian pasta businesses and a good many vinyards to boot.

Having to serve anything "Very Very cold" to appreciate it...means its pizwater.

I like my good vodka sub zero for the lovely evaporation effect in the mouth (reminds me of gas at the dentist) but its fine at room temp too.

Nope, proper Lambrusco is wonderful, that's why the Italians keep most of it for themselves!
