Postcard appeal for a little girl recovering from leukaemia treatment.

We have been sending postcards to Jessie Stocks, a little girl who has spent the last year and a half in an isolation room at Sheffield Children's Hospital after suffering leukaemia treatment complications.

The postcards make a big difference to her and her big sister Macy. There was recently a moving article about the appeal on the BBC News webite: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-39885146

Now I know what a well travelled and generous bunch you are here, so I thought it worthy of a thread. Even old and unwanted postcards are appreciated. Animals are particularly popular with Jessie, and mum Mel uses the location ones to help Macy to learn about different countries. They love finding out about other people's favourite 'happy' places.

Postcards can be handed in at the hospital or sent directly to:

    Jessie and Macy Stocks
    c/o Sheffield Children's Hospital
    Ward M3
    Western Bank
    Sheffield
    S10 2TH

    Thanks for your time,

    Matthew

Does she collect unwritten postcards or does she want people to send her written cards?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

It's more about the images than what is written on the back but I'm sure that any thoughtful sentiments will go down well. Even old unwanted postcards are appreciated as long as whatever written on them is age appropriate!

Edit :it's a shame she's not into church architecture. I've got about 400 of the buggers.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

A company uses my images for their postcards, I'll get them to send one of each out to Jessie and Macy (they're printed with different locations world-wide so should help with the geography teaching!).

Thanks for the responses! Postcards can be from absolutely anywhere, UK locations just as much appreciated as worldwide. East Anglian churches perhaps not so much.

Got any of All Saints' in Dunwich before it was lost to the sea? Which reminds me, whatever happened to the Landmark East project?

I'll send a card (with a flying butterfly - not live!) tomorrow.
