    Unhappy Is this insanity?

Have I lost the plot completely? Does anyone else have this issue? When I retired I bought myself a Hamilton Khaki Field with a black face to add to add to a very small collection of three other watches; A Seamaster (now sold) and two Oris's. I like the Hamilton so much I ordered the same model with a beige face which arrived today. I like both so much I'm thinking of buying a spare of each just in case they stop making them!

This place does funny things to you. Duplicates etc are fine if that is what you want, go for it and don't worry about it. Madder things have happened...

I agree. I've tried to post some photos but have given up.

All good, you can never have too many, even if they are the same model. Each to their own, enjoy choosing which one to wear each day.

Concurrent ownership of both Seiko SARB033 & SARB035 is very common, and understandable may I add...

If you have more than one watch and are a member here then insanity has long gone out of the window I'm afraid.

I was thinking of just keeping the spares sealed up in their boxes so that they're in pristine as new condition, safe in the knowledge that, should the need arise, I'd have a sparkling new one ready to go!

And yes, insanity just about covers it!

If it was, it sadly ended in divorce as they have all been sold now - but that is the fun of our hobby, move onto something new

Same thing happened to me with the Kentex Marineman. First got the black MOP dial and a few days later ordered the green MOP dial, both limited to less than 200 units. The green one is still unworn fully stickered, a safe queen so far.

They stopped making these a while ago; definitely glad to have a spare!

That's a fantastic pair. Gets me every time you post it.
BTW, this is normal collectors' behavior. Hard for non hobbyists to understand.
Do feel that some duplicates are better than others.
The one above is a stellar one.

Sorry to say Bob.. but you are not insane... alone!

I'm also guilty of the same evil curse :D I want a duplicate of all my watches! My record is 3.5 of a single model (because one is broken!)

I have a friend who has 6-7 of the same Rolex he loves it so much!

That's just smart. When you find a last that fits, stick to it. I've never understood people who claim to be comfortable in every single shoe ever produced.
