    Stolen Datejust in Naples :-(

My pal has just been mugged for his old Rolex Datejust whilst in Naples.

    Model 16030 Case no. 5684807

Not very valuable, but sentimental, and reward offered if recovered.

    MW

    :-(

I'm very sorry to hear this and hope he gets it back. Without seeming to come across as one of the 'told you so' brigade, I think Naples is probably the last place on earth I would go out with an expensive watch on

    Dreadful news .

Shame one can't wear their watches in public in safety in some areas!

Will keep an eye open Mike, but tell him to keep an eye on on Chrono24.

Hope it gets recovered and the dirty little thieves get what they deserve.

stopped off in Naples on a cruise.

I was wearing a GMT and my wife a Yachtmaster .... waiter in a café was staring at her watch & said don't wear that here, put it in your bag. Was half expecting him to be ringing his pal to arrange bag snatch !

hoofed it back to the ship and put watched in the safe.... real shame as Naples has some nice attractions & we went for one of the best lunches I've ever had.

Hope it gets recovered / insurance pay up

Never take an expensive watch abroad....ever!
I always wear a Kemmner or similar, solid, reliable and CHEAP.
There's no need to advertise oneself to the great unwashed.

Does that only apply to locations outside of the UK then?

What a load a codswallop ok wearing an expensive watch anywhere in the world will attract unwanted characters not just in Naples and for that cheap comment about the unwashed don't forget that the Romans gave us the amenities we have today .
