Recently listened to his Autobiography "Audio book" with Roger narrating the whole thing himself (great voice) - its brilliant highly recommend bit on "Nick Nack" is hilarious as is most of the book

I once watched the first 13 Bond movies literally back to back. In that context, The Spy Who Loved Me stuck out a mile as a very superior film in terms of being dramatically engaging etc, so I've always felt it to be a bit underrated, and thought RM deserved more credit for his performance in that than he got.
Yes of course, my memory is obviously not what it once was.
A real part of my childhood has gone, RIP Roger..
I used to really enjoy watching The Persuaders when I was a kid.

My grandfather worked with him on The Persuaders and The Saint and my dad used to get his cigars. Fond memories of him.
