    80s Tudor Prince Date

Quick query while in town. Jeweller has an obviously used but looks in decent nick Tudor in the window. Steel with an aftermarket strap. Assuming all is correct am I getting a bargain at £800?

Depending on warranty, service history and condition I'd say £800 is reasonable but not a bargain.

So quick update. No box or papers or idea on SH but they're offering a 12 month guarantee. Condition is very good. Looks like it's had a light polish and the top hat-style crystal looks like a new replacement. Main issue is the size. Didn't have a ruler but I'd say it's a 34mm case maximum (perhaps smaller) which is just too small for me. My Pelagos looked enormous in comparison. I'd really need a Jumbo case.

If anyone is interested, it's in Anderson's in Warwick market square.

I don't think Tudor did a 36mm case so it's either going to be 34mm or a jumbo 38mm. £800 doesn't sound like a bargain though probably lowish for the high street. It can only have been about 5 years ago when I was looking at a grey dial one in Austin Kaye for £320.

It certainly wasn't a Jumbo so probably 34mm although it looked smaller. I bet there's a few of us wishing we had hoovered up Tudor Subs, Chronos and Oysters a few years ago when the brand was in the doldrums.
