    Nicky Hayden RIP

Just heard this terrible news, he had a cycle accident and died from the resulting injury.

    Really sad.

Achieved more in 35 years than most of us will do in a lifetime (myself more than included). Gutting.

What a shame, and at such a young age too.

Such a shame! Always one of my favourite riders and I'll miss watching him race and seeing his enthusiasm for the sport.

    Sad sad news.
It's just a matter of time...

What the others said. It makes it even more sad knowing that he died as a result of non high speed related accident. Just taking your bike for a trip and never returning... so sad.

Very sad - a real hero and a good man. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the motorcycling community. Thoughts are with his family and friends. When I heard of the accident I was sure he would pull through, even if he never raced - sadly this wasn't to be. Hard to believe he's gone

A rare gentleman who never ever said anything bad about any other rider. EVER. Not even about Dani when he torpedoed him off in Portugal.
Such a sympathetic bloke and such a fair rider.
    A sorely missed example.

RIP #69 🏍🏍🏍🏍 wearing my Tissot Hayden Edition today as a tiny insignificant tribute...

It was Nicky's riding that first got me interested in MotoGP, and my lid is one his one colour schemes. What a terrible way to go.

His title win in 2006 will, like him, remain legendary.
