    Stowa/Nomos-esque Rider M005 - anyone buy one?

For a while I have been idly considering a Stowa or Nomos, just as something totally different from my usual fare. So different, in fact, that I realise I might never wear it and was briefly considering a 38mm Rodina as a way of 'tasting' the style. In my perusing have just come across a 'Rider M005', obviously from the same Sea Gull / Rodina roots, but powered by a Miyota 9015, which seems a step up. It appears to have had a few decent reviews, e.g. :

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience of these? I've tried the search function but come up blank.

A fella in work got a Rodina and is not that good. I have a Stowa, well a couple of them and they are lovely, great quality also. I also have a Nomos and again the quality is amazing. I would continue to save and purchase either the Stowa or the Nomos and forget the Rodina.

    Thanks for the responses.
My intention is to get either a Stowa or a Nomos, providing I actually like it in the flesh. The low cost alternative was just to be a taster. I wasn't too keen on the Rodina, with the Chinese movement, but the Miyota should be ok. It would appear that it has decent reviews and at approx £140 must be worth a try.

I had one of the Rodinas back when they were first around, in 2013. I never had any problem with the Seagull ST17 movement, which kept good time, and I got a lot of wear out of it, until I finally admitted that that case/lugs style sits badly on me. The worst thing about it was the use of Times New Roman Bold for the RODINA logo - I think the RIDER logo suits the Bauhaus design much better.

These look great. I particularly like the no date version, the blue dial one looks nice too.

I totally understand, as it's the case/lugs and overall style that I'm admiring from afar but just wary about how it will suit me. It wouldn't be the first time I bought something that turned out to be totally unsuitable. I also agree about the RIDER logo looks much better, although a sterile version would probably be best.
