    Watch shopping in Turkey

Probably a long shot, but are there any decent ADs worth seeking out in the Fetiye/ Hisoranu area?

Not when I was there but that was a while ago. Hisaronu wasn't much more than a few restaurants and bars. Fetiye a small fishing town.

There are AD's in Fethiye and good Jewellers. if you want a deal, go to Sarraf Jewellers in hisaronu Halis and Nez may be able to point you in the right direction, if its Jewellery you want, speak to these guys!

Hisaronu is my second home these days, love it! When you go out of season and you use the locals restaurants and bars its even better, especially the fish market it Fethiye.

I've bought watches from the large gold centres in turkey twice now.

Can you get a boat taxi over to Bodrum? There definitely used to be a gold centre there, although that was many years ago.

I've been to two gold centres now in turkey and each time haggled a good deal on watches. First one was Bodrum, second was Antalya so there is hope.

I was in a few impressive dealers in fethiye last summer. Nearly bought an Oris. They are all packed tightly together, down near the harbour.

The gold centre in Bodrum must have closed over the winter. I was there for April - May, and saw it had gone. Off back there for June soon. There are a couple of other upmarket watch dealers (inc Omega etc) on the way to the yacht club. And I suspect there will be some in Yalikavak near the Billionaire Club.

If you are thinking of retiring rent, don't buy.My friends near Fethiye are all losing money on their properties.

In Turkey, 'ADs' come to your hotel with ridiculously cheap Rolexes in a suitcase.

Holidays to Lara Beach were excellent for watch looking. Loved it.

Small world, we have had a place here for about 14 years. We are just outside Ovacik at the top of the hill before it drops down towards Fetiye.

Thanks for the tips will have a mooch round.

    Watch shopping in Turkey

They are all available individually, they will do papers to order, bit like funkypidgeon.com

You can get a full set discount though, bit like a meal deal in M&S.

Only thing is none of the watches were stickered up, they did offer to coat an airdweller43kingDSSDBlue in plasters to sweeten the deal.
