anyone got one yet ?
looks great to me but would love to see some pics in the wild
I have been trying to track one of these down.
Indeed I started a thread on last week with my experiences in the Trafford Centre.
There are in Beaverbrooks and Ernest Young the leather strap versions of , but no bracelet.
When I enquirerd at Beaverbrooks I was given short shrift and told they were special order and "non returnable" !!!
I have been back to Ernest Young today , and they have located one with bracelet for me .
I will load up some pictures and thoughts over the weekend :
Think it's too "chunky" for me. Will drop by and try one on, but not one I'm rushing to pay full retail for. The Jack Heuer LE does look better though imo.
I do like the look of it, but need to try it.
I would like the bracelet version, but I would buy the leather strap too.
It's just cheaper to do it that way round.
I have seen them online with a 22% discount.
What did you manage to achieve on the high street?

I photographed it a couple of weeks ago, was expecting to dislike it but it's not overblown size wise like I was led to believe. I liked it and would certainly make the list if I wanted a 'heritage chrono'
I'm perplexed by the case height of the current tags. They're so lovely in other respects.
Not seen it in the flesh, but so far I love this piece.
Wish it wasnt so "chunky". if it was 40mm, 12mm height max, would be on my list!
Same here - for me, this is the nicest watch to come out of TAG Heuer for a quite a while, and I can't believe it took them so long to do it. You'd think they'd have done it three years earlier so they could put out the 50th anniversary after the most eager buyers have already got the bog standard version, I thought this is the way this business works.
Anyway, I hope it does well because my secret hope is that they will eventually use the design cues in their quartz line. Of course, it would be great if they changed the design as little as possible, but even a re-interpretation could be good. I like the current Formula 1 quartz chronograph quite a lot, it looks really good despite the relatively low price (I've seen it in flesh and worn it), and if they can do a similar thing with the Autavia in a couple of years' time, I might just go for it, despite normally being a bit of a bottom feeder.
I like it a lot BUT....as has been pointed out before, the minute sub dial only has markers every 2.5mins. Just don't get that at all.
Ernest Jones gave me a ring today ....both Autavias in for me to try
Thought I would prefer the bracelet, but in the end felt the leather strap set off the watch best.
The issue I have unfortunately is that the strap is too short for my 8 inch wrist !
They are seeing if Tag can source a longer strap for me .
If anyone is interested in the bracelet version , you need to get down to Trafford Centre this weekend and ask for a nice young lady called Grace.
She is keeping at the store until Monday when if unsold she has to return it from whence it came !
The Autavia with leather strap looks nice. Much prefer it to the bracelet.
Looks great on those pictures, am hoping my local AD has One in so I can have a try on.
Definately not buying One though.
Definately.
100%.
Absolutely not.
Wish it didn't have a date.
