Look at the Leatherman squirt, I find it much better than a sak.Everything but the corkscrew. Buy screw top wine?
Hi all,
I want a neat and compact pocket knife for everyday use and the ideal model for me would have the following:
- blade (UK carry legal)
- inline Phillips screwdriver
- bottle opener/flat blade screwdriver
- scissors
- corkscrew
Does anything like that exist? The closest thing I can find is the Spartan Lite but I don't want the torch and I don't need the awl and I don't like the translucent body!
I'd like it to be as thin as possible!
I'm sure I recall a chap on here who can customise SAK's but can't for the life of me remember.
Cheers!

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
The Squirt PS4 has everything except the corkscrew.

The Juice CS4 has everything you want but is bigger:

Or there's the Juice C2 which doesn't have scissors:

The explorer fits the bill

Hi,
Thanks for the Leatherman recommendations however in this case i'm strictly looking for a SAK.
Cheers!
If you select the tools on the Victorinox site the closest/cheapest with all the tools you require is the Explorer at £45, but it has a bunch of stuff you don't need.

There are people who can customise SAKs over on British Blades, but the knives themselves are built to fine tolerances so the choice of tools sometimes results in pre/post requisites, so getting exactly the tools you require may prove to be impossible without the judicious use of spacers.
I believe you can also visit the flagship store in London and build your own.

I didn't know that! London Store:
On the lower ground floor you can find the legendary Swiss Army Knives, together with household and professional knives. At the knife assembly station you can put together your own personal Swiss Army Knife and have it personally engraved.
Looking at their website (stores) it seems that, as well as London, the following European locations offer knife assembly, customization and engraving:
- Zürich
- Geneva
- Köln (Cologne)
- Brunnen
- Luzern

though looking at his posts i'd guess that he'd make what you want, at a price of course
i have no affiliation to the the page/pages linked, i just saw a post on British blades and remembered this thread here.

amazon often have good deals on SAK. the explorer is currently less than twenty quid on there, which i think is a bargain. it seems to have most of what the OP wants.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
It's not expensive. A few flagships stores in the world offer the facility. They will be very good with the guarantee too if you come with a broken one.
Basically these stores are not expected to turn a profit, they are first and foremost a permanent advert. It is also essential since the daily heil has decreed that knives are evil.

I'm going to the Pink Floyd exhibition at the V&A tomorrow so i'm going to take a detour and build my own SAK after! I will post pics with the result.
I had a free hour after a meeting today so I went down to the Mayfair shop and I was disappointed. The 'custom' service is just a build it yourself version of the Spartan with no option to customise it. You have to book a week in advance too!
