New Arrival from GO and SOTC

After an all too brief meeting with a fellow TZer yesterday I picked up a Glashutte Original Seventies Panorama Date. I have wanted one of these since they were first announced at Basel in 2011 IIRC. There have been some difficulties in getting hold of one:

Price, these are around the £8K mark on a bracelet (which is the only way to go) meaning a grey market cost of £6K+.
Limited availability through the AD network plus colour choices mean making a decision is hard to make.
Forum reports of it wearing big.
Uncertainty on my preferred colour, is it blue, is it purple, is it lilac?

I eventually tried one on around a year ago whilst in central London and decided the size was fine.
I missed out on Kirk's grey dialled model.
I then missed out on Daveyw's blue dialled model.
I eventually snapped up Daveyw's watch from Rodder.

I really am smitten with it, it is a little bit purple, a little bit lilac and a little bit blue. It's a slim watch at only 11mm and I love the integrated bracelet design. The bracelet really is top notch, seamlessly smooth as it tappers, over-engineered in its gapless links and very comfortable with the wonderful clasp mechanism which can be adjusted whilst without takin the watch off.

So, SOTC. This is the most watches I have owned at once and truth be known I couldn't really afford to buy the GO but they are not common watches so I grabbed it whilst I could, now some rationisatoon is required soon, certainly before a Speedy Tuesday turns up in a few months time.

I have included some pictures of forum favourites with the 70s to give an idea of size.

Beautiful, the Glashutte looks so classy. Hefty in size too, dress but not small. I like it

You lucky lucky man. What a fantastic collection you have there.
Your GO, in particular, is superb and as you're well aware, seldom seen pre-owned at the right money. I looked back on the sellers page last week about 30 times.

looks like you have all bases covered, a great collection
may I ask which Panerai model that is?

The GO is magnificent, a watch I've been keeping an eye out for myself. In fact we share very similar tastes as many of mine are the same as yours! The collection is a whole is really pleasing. I can't imagine where you start to rationalise. The only thing I can suggest is you let that Sinn go (to me!).

It is a 210, a base Radiomir that sadly is not worn very often, I prefer bracelets most of the time.

Nice collection ... a few of yours I have myself as well ... and I'm most pleased to also own the GO Seventies - I love it.

GO Bracelet is probably the best I own, and the date turn over is pretty smooth in action as well.

    Congratulations!

I'm wondering about the GO Strap + deployant to give mine a change of look ...

i would like to try a strap but shudder to think how much the strap and deployant combo would be.

Better than on strap and wanting to buy the bracelet I imagine! I'd love to buy the bracelet for my panomatic XL, however the price is way to prohibitive.

I'm missing it already!!! One of my favourite watches.

However, despite being very different I love its replacement!

Great meeting you and hope you got back in time.

Got back in double quick time, thanks James. I love the GO, such a quality price of engineering.
Love the gold indices on the Seiko, very cool.

Lovely GO. I would probably like it more on the strap.
    Nice collection as well.

I think your Speedy on a brown strap looks really nice, love to wear mine like that too from time to time. The Tintin is nice too!
