    Eterna Heritage 1948 - thoughts?

I find this watch very aesthetically pleasing. Any thoughts?

I was ready to love it until I saw the "Since 1856" and now I can't look at it without thinking that the slogan belongs on a beer can. :(

How big? Nice stylings, broadly, but the little things will kill it - non-matching date-wheel? At least the hands are the correct length.

It's not horrible but it does little for me.

I agree. I thought it looked great, and missed the "since" until I read your post. Now my eye is drawn to it. A mistake.

    Its case is 40mm.

I think baton hour markers would be nicer.

I like it although I preferred this model with alarm. Could do without the 'Since 1856'.

Better without the date window and the alarm function is interesting.

Overall I like the look - however the case sizes are too big for my taste as regards a dress watch and I agree with the above comments re the 1856 legend.

I like it a lot. Just looked up the price. £1625. A lot more than I hoped.

Keep an eye on the some of the US sites like ashford.com and gemnation.com. Although the 1948 isn't on those sites yet I'm sure they'll turn up at some point with very decent discounts.
