Transfer my iPhone to android without a pc

Really basic step by step advice

I have pics and contacts I don't wish to lose
Some sensitive stuff and private inc receipts and memories of my positive past

I'm scared
But want it done

Just create a google account, then setup contact and photo sync, wait for sync to complete then repeat but in reverse.

I'm doing this when I get my Pixel.

Google photos for your pictures and back up all your contacts to a gmail account, presumably you have one? If not maybe make one. I'm counting on that for mine.

It's been on all night via my iPhone and still got items waiting to save

Seems it's done my contacts but not photos

Bloody ball ache tbh


I don't have a pc or laptop to use


Any idea why photos aren't transferring
I've ticked the thing that says they can go at low red etc so not to lock up memory etc

I'd upload your photos to google photos or Flickr. Or both.

Leave your old one uploading and just login on the new one and they'll be there as they upload. Google photos also does pretty cool animations and videos etc. from your pictures if you want.

That's what I suggested and for me have found it to be the easiest, once setup it's just a case of waiting.

I know for Samsung devices the app called Smart Switch works. Might be worth a try.
