    Nasty watch roundup

Seiko and Swarovski got together to make this half-arsed contraption:

Glam Rock Watches, elegant and understated:

'Danish Design' chrono (decent watch in the middle of this somewhere):

    BRM 'gas mask' horror watch:

    J. Spring dartboard (check out the bezel):

    Mauboussin incredible shrinking dial (£4400):

Jean D'Eve. I think this is a watch:

    Memphis Belle Predator Spirit (ugh):

doesn't it just make you want to

Of the lot that is the only one I feel a bit of affection for...at least it does not take itself too seriously.

    J. Spring is Japanese I believe - and I never knew they even played darts over there.

You really did hurt my feelings by showing me these disgusting designs.

It's a miracle they actually seem to sell this stuff

By George there's some horrid looking stuff in there! Was the dartboard watch a special order for that tasteful darter Mr. Jocky Wilson perhaps?

In that new YM, they've actually made a worse watch than the Bet Lynch leopard Daytona, which is some going.

Wow the guys that designed those watches must have been trying very hard to make an ugly watch or they they were on some mind bending drugs.

I think the leopard Daytona is alright. Yeah, it's a gaudy and vulgar trinket, but at least it's a reasonably well done thing. They've stuck to a theme, the've made an effort by thowing in a strap, end-links, dial, markers and bezel, all of which complement each other. If you're Bet Lynch, Steven Tyler or just want something super-bling that's a bit fun and tounge-in-cheek to dress up your jeans/t-shirt outfit I don't know if you could do better.

That YM. A stupid, and vile in and of itself, bezel plonked onto inappropriate and otherwise standard watch...not just ugly, but lazy.

No ugly watch thread is complete without a Diesel Big Daddy.

I especially love the wonky crown on this one in particular.

Quite a few horrors from Rolex in this thread. I've always thought of Rolex as being fairly conservative in their designs, perhaps a little too much. However, judging by the look of some of these watches, that may not be the case.

Is it me or does the 4th time reading in LCD form state a different time to the other 3? Looks like 12:38 to me.

QUAD time Iain, quad time! How brilliant is that? There aren't enough quad time watches on the market right now.

Worth nothing too, that's possibly the most restrained design and colour scheme of the awesome Big Daddy family.

The most ugliest Rolex ever, IMO. I honestly thought it was a fake the first time I saw it.
