The BLRO.... more 'West Ham' than 'Pan Am'!!

Had my 116719 BLRO a few weeks now and gotta say I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I totally 'get' the whole white gold thing now, it really is warmer and just 'special' and I will say the red in the bezel is certainly at least bordering on 'claret' and as a West Ham supporter that's very much the icing on the cake!!

Few quick shots, certainly not a patch on Andy's but we all know what it looks like by now anyway so here goes....

Nice! Looks lovely. Not the biggest fan of WG but works very well here.

You may as well enjoy the watch as you can hardly see the pitch from back there ;) (blessing in disguise this season)

    Seriously though love it (UTV)

Stealth wealth! Regardless of whether I'd buy one, this watch always gains respect from the community. Great buy, congratulations.

Beautiful piece, nearly went for one myself but decided I liked a bit of variety so got a 16710 Pepsi and kept some other nice pieces.

From another Claret and Blue fan......... Burnley UTC ;-)

The depth of colour of the blue and red in ceramic are more reminiscent of the old bakerlite bezels - looks stunning!

Lovely watch - would look even better at the Boleyn rather than the spaceship stadium out in Stratford!

Perhaps to take your eyes off the hideous dilapidated stadium

I think its a bit ungrateful for 'Irons' fans to complain about a stadium we all paid for ;)

Perhaps - although not sure it's not ungrateful if you're given a gift that you didn't want in the first place...!

    Very very nice!

You don;t see much about this watch, even over at the mad Rolex Forum - guess due to its value.

Since its white gold is this a Rolex Sports where a discount is easy to get? If so whats a realistic UK price?

Has an RRP of £28k, but you do see them for £25k or so.

Thanks for all the comments Gents, got say this watch really does have that 'feel good factor' and I really don't regret going white rather than yellow....
It was a toss up between this and a blue Sub and it wasn't until I saw the 'claret and blue' bezel that I really made up my mind!!

Agreed re: better at The Boleyn although the pic' does make the view at The Olympic look far worse than it is.....
I've been to many football grounds and while you are indeed a little further away at The Olympic you're not as high so I reckon the actual 'distance to the pitch' is similar?

Anyway, thanks again everyone and COYI!!!!

People say that every time Basel world comes around, but I am pleased that Rolex have resisted and kept it exclusive to the WG model. I think the customers who have bought one at least deserve that.

I second that. Average joe wouldn't have a clue so that makes it a great buy in my book.

Talking of West Ham, I was driving up the M6 Toll yesterday to watch Villa away at Blackburn. I passed Sullivan and Gold in Sullivan's Rolls Royce, presumably on the way up to Stoke. The reg number was something like DS17 WHU.

I often see David Gold in his Rolls, he doesn't live far from me. His plate is DGOLD.

    His daughter's is JGold.

That's part of the beauty of it mate, very few people even know what it is....

I manage a skip-yard and the most frequent comment I do get from anyone that notices it is "Oh! You've downgraded from the one with the gold in it then!!"
    (I used to wear a bi-metal Sub'!)

Thanks again for the comments Gents...
