Is there a strap this doesn't suit??

While back I got me a Tudor Ranger. Quality yes reliable yes good brand yes - does it wow me - well no actually. But I noticed something, I tried it on most straps I own and have yet to find a strap it doesn't suit. Don't know why it just seems to go with everything... speedmaster is a bit like that too, but is the Ranger the most versatile for straps?

Can't stand NATO straps at all and especially if there isn't a need to use them. On the bracelet it looks cheap and unfinished due to the lack of end links.

    Purely from a colour aspect, 2&3 work, 1&4 don't

Just personal taste really. A nice watch, but I don't like it on any of those tbh.

Interesting the dislike of the 4th one. Guess can blame Tudor for that since it's the stock supplied NATO. Re the straight end links I prefer them(on this watch at least as it's truer to the orig Ranger). Also they stop the case getting marked where curved end links would meet it-can be a bit if an eyesore if taking off the bracelet and putting on a leather . My black bay shows this

I think they all suit the watch. The watch's colour scheme lends itself to suiting a wide variety. I'd probably go for the Bond Nato.

Yeah that's what it's got on right now although got some distressed leathers itching for a shot might pop them on to see now.

I like the look of it on the nato's, though not keen on the camouflage one!

I think beside personal taste, a lot depends on the intentionality, not just whether the colours match. Take this one - the colours aren't a problem at all, but you could feel awkward wearing it on this, or you could be making a statement, or maybe you just wouldn't be bothered:

But I agree, its classic colours and shape will accommodate a broader range of straps than most watches.

Except that the original ranger did have end links, which makes you wonder why Tudor decided to use a straight end bracelet on the reissue.

Very true re the end links. They hark back to JB Champion style bracelets and just follow the vintage vibe. Personally I think I might pop the straight end bracelet onto the black bay see how it looks.

This watch was created for nato's or vice versa. Photo number 2 is the classic design, but really like the red and black on first photo. Can't believe how conservative some people are with nato colour combinations, so cheap to buy, and so easy to swap! Funny how the Tudor camo doesn't quite work, but I think the grey version looks great on the bb36!

If you take into account where the original Ranger got it's inspiration, the open endlinks makes sense...

It would look very much like the Heritage Black Bay One, the watch Tudor made for "Only Watch 2015" auction for charity...

Which went for 375,000 Swiss Francs.
