Come on guys, cant we have some more interesting watches on the sales forum. Perhaps some affordable (sub 1k) moonphase watches, the odd Steinhart Aviation (auto please!! :o) ) Maybe some interesting square or rectangular watches???

Im fed up with old boots and too expensive for me watches...

    Moan over, carry on!!!

I can't even see one, I'm guessing there's a minimum post count required.

    What's the usual fare?

Well Red, in the last few weeks I have listed the following two:

Both under £400, one with a nice sun and moon feature and the other as rare as hens teeth.

    I still have this listed:

Lovely dress watch with a warm Art Deco feel to it:

It's like trying to sell a dog t**d - looking for a reasonable part exchange, something like a family bag of cheese and onion crisps or a packet of fig biscuits would probably do the trick.

Of note today was a previous transaction for used timberland boots gone wrong and a nice old Rolex GMT thats now likely off into the hands of a dealer to make himself some profit.

Seriously thinking about listing this shortly for under £1k - needs must & all

Struggling with the thought of losing it though.

If we're making requests, can we please have some nice Breitling SQ chronos, some interesting sub £1k mechanical chronos (I'm watching you, Strnglwhank) and a few good traveller's GMTs?

Hehe - I'll have made a decision by the end of the weekend 

Will be selling this shortly for well under £100 - its a fun thing with a Chinese movement.

Is that a watch or a portable parking meter - a little different.

Some of us like seeing adverts for Rolex and if someone want to flog their Rolex, better here than ebay.

Only thing I don't like is the inevitable load of snide comments that comes from the same old whingers. Other than that the SC is pretty good.

I have a few cheaper watches I could sell but just can't be bothered. Need some motivation.

I've got loads of interesting ones but I can't post them for sale (this is not a thinly veiled sales post as they are all going in the bay) . It took long enough just to be able to access the sales forum and probably be months before I'd be able to sell given the posts needed

Not being funny, but just be a little more involved and your post count will shoot up, then access will be granted.🚀

Can't quite put my finger on it but it seems to have lost a little of its shine over the past few months. Though old trainer sales are flying

I don't find some of the folk overly friendly on here to be honest, it kind of reminds me of the horological equivalent of Pistonheads in a way.

You can chat to me... I'm really friendly

Most are fine on here... with the odd obvious exception

The folks here are grumpy old gits when they post but much of it is tongue in cheek and meant in good humor. Some of the rather grumpy posters I have found to be exceedingly pleasant and patient when buying/selling so don't let the bark put you off!

In that case this place is the horological equivalent of Hifiwigwam.

Yep - if it was expensive I'd never have bought it in the first place 😊
