HAVE I GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME???

A few weeks ago I (for some reason that now escapes me) I thought the Tuna would look good on a purple alligator so I ordered one.
Now that it has arrived I'm wondering if I'm actually brave enough to wear it in public.

Interesting but I'd be careful where I wore it in public.

    Jeepers.

There are watches that really suit a bold approach. That isn't one of them.

    Crikey.

Maybe to wear to an underwater Prince tribute concert, but that's about it.

Most of the time the only water it would see is the rain in Scotland,
If I was going to use it in the water it would be swapped onto something a bit more waterproof like chromexcel or rubber.

Honestly, too much conservatism here :)

Purple and black look great together, on a man or a woman. Just need the right outfit and accessories.

If you wear that to your work they'll send you straight to Argos to work the Elizabeth Duke stuff.

In fact, is the Swatch shop still open on Princes Street?

Yes the Swatch shop is still there (near boots)

You would be supprised, one thing that you can guarantee about the Tuna is that people find it interesting.
I wore it to Basel this year and at the Rolex and Patek dinners it was the only watch other people on the tables wanted to see.

Oh the watch is great, it's just THAT strap!!

I often see photos and know they're yours before I see your username, you're a chap of impeccable taste... which makes that strap all the harder to accept!

    Wow, very bold.

In days gone past we had a rather obsequious Head of Legal who had a thing about purple. If I remember correctly he used to enjoy telling the girls in archives about his penchant for spending his evenings at home wearing nothing under a purple cloak.

    **shudder**

I don't remember whether he wore a Tuna though.
