Any military/issued meaning to these initials 'F.A' on a caseback?

I'm researching a watch that may be WWII era issued, maybe Czech. It has these initials on the back. Does anyone recognise them? They aren't a manufacturer trademark according to Mikrolisk. Many thanks.

The French air force famously used FG on the Type XX chronographs (without a dot in between) but it would really help to have more information about the watch (PM is good if it's a live auction). It's almost impossible to search on the two characters, FA.

I also think that MWR is the obvious other place to ask the question.

Many thanks SimonK, and also to Carlton-Browne and Wibbs who gave me some very helpful pointers by PM.

So far it looks as though not too much should be read into these letters but if I find out any more I will post details here.

That would be just my luck, as I've only gone and bought it now.

We'll see what turns up. Maybe it used to be owned by Fred Astaire. Or Francis of Assisi.

Maybe the dot is actually a small 'o'! Looking forward to seeing some photos when it arrives.
