My pet peeve with Steinhart is that ghastly gap between end link and first bracelet link, but this looks like it would look great on the nato.
Well, I placed my order on the 6th and paid and received a confirmation email from Steinhart, but the payment hasn't been taken from my account and there has been no update since. I guess they are waiting for more stock..

They still haven't sorted out the weak cyclops, I see.
The bezel looks super shiny in that video and the noise it makes is horrid. Think I'll be holding on for a ovm version

I'm going to wait until mine has been delivered (eta Thursday) and report back on bezel and other observations
My Ocean One Green has arrived today so I'll give it the once over tonight and report back with thoughts. I've not even opened the box yet.
Looks nice. I was going to go for an Ocean Green 39 but got swayed by the Davosa Ternos Ceramic. A bit more expensive but a very nice piece indeed.
I think the bezel is the same as the regular 42mm ocean one which has been out for ages- each to their own of course but I'm sure ceramic all have that high gloss appearance almost like liquid metal. People not suited normally prefer the aluminium I'm told for the older rolex look

As with the ceramic bezel on the 42mm the pip was missing off that also . I think this model they have lumed the whole triangle somehow . Don't quote me if the 42mm is the same lumed triangle but I have not heard it is. Here is a pic of the lumed triangle on the 39mm

A new investment property has unfortunately put any expensive watch purchases on the back burner for quite a long time. Subsequently I'm all about quartz precision at the minute and I am finding pleasure in the cheapest end of the market thanks to Casio and Swatch. These 39s, however, look great and I could be tempted. How is the timekeeping on the ETA 2824-2 though? Steinhart say the movement is "ETA 2824-2 Elaboré". What does that mean then?
Taken from a google search:
ETA sells their ebauchés in 4 grades, and not all of the grades are offered for every movement. They are Standard, Elaboré, Top, and Chronometre. The Valjoux 7750 does not come in the Standard Grade. Each grade has set performance parameters, and 95% of the ebauchés delivered in a lot must be within these limits.
Standard
- adjusted in 2 positions: CH and 6H
- average daily rate: +/- 12 seconds
- maximum positional variation: 30 seconds
- isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 20 seconds
Elaboré
- adjusted in 3 positions: CH, 6H, 9H
- average daily rate: +/- 7 seconds
- maximum positional variation: 20 seconds
- isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 15 seconds
Top
- adjusted in 5 positions: CH, FH, 6H, 9H, 3H
- average daily rate: +/- 4 seconds
- maximum positional variation: 15 seconds
- isochronism between 0 and 24 hours: +/- 10 seconds
Chronometre
- adjusted and timed per COSC specification (see above link under Standard) which is not much different from Top Grade
Rather good little vid from Gnomon. I initially didn't like the blue as I felt the dial and bezel were too opposite in colour but it looks ok in the vid.

Just received mine (from SC) and this being my first Steinhart I’m very impressed. It really is a good size for me. Here’s a quick photo...
The green bezel looks pick of the bunch... keeping a keen eye on SC
