I hear you, really starting to grow on me, so clean looking
I'm starting to want one, used but not sure if i should go head only - i probably won't use the bracelet much anyway as i like the look on leather or rubber - show me yours please!

Agreed, particularly like the smaller hour markers on the 16040/M however I've found the bracelets of the early 2000's subs are just too light. Have you seen one on a Perlon strap? Makes a nice change from nato!

IMHO either works, but on balance I prefer the bracelet..

Here you go sir...
I've only had mine for a few weeks and I must say it really is an outstanding watch. I've previously worn Omega, breitling, Panerai but this just feels special

That watch would like stunning in any strap!!
It might even look better in my wrist too!!
It is stunning.
Yes these are the business, I picked one up recently 14060M 2 line. It's an epic version, super clean symmetrical dial love it.

It's pretty amazing how versatile the watch can be. Works on every occasion.
I think you did really well to get one - is it your go to watch?
I think I need one, anyone got a nice one for sale at a reasonable price, I can't get on the for sale forum as yet?
Me neither - hang in in there!

What's this speed posting thingy?
Flav is my best pal and always jumps on my TZ when we catch up.
Been pestering him for years and years to get involved and he finally is which will be great for this place. He is a proper gent and enthusiast with a great collection of watches which we will share with all soon.
We are do a Norwich GTG this year and I will drag him along for all to meet when Dave is back to agree a date.

Thank you Pitch for your very kind words. I am only trying to follow in your wonderful footsteps.
What I love about Subs, that the pre-ceramic versions are the most versatile watches.
They not only work on every occasion but also every strap.
While the Sub-C is as beautiful as it is, it loses on versatility.
I also like the look of the bracelet, but read/heard many saying that quality wise it leaves a lot to be desired for (pre-C versions).
What are your experiences?
Stopped off for a beer, wearing mine on Bournemouth beach

Lovely watch, lovely pic and a pretty fine day to be wearing it too.
Well, of the opportunity arises and the funds permit - hey presto you have a great watch.
When I got my 14060m I used to dislike the bracelet and put it immediately on a nato (love the utilitarian look of the sub on a nato). For altering it's appearance I put it on a bracelet again and lo and behold, it started to grow on me, I even love now the ratly bracelet. The four and five-digit no date subs are so versatile, they look amazing on anything.
Another vote here for the 14060m. I was considering the 16600, 116600 as i really disliked the cyclops but wanted a date feature. In the end i went for the classic sub two liner for the clean look. It's also super comfy to wear and goes with anything. What's not to like?

I do not think you can go wrong with any permutation of a no date sub.
I love my ceramic no date but they all look fantastic.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
