Welcome.
Hi all,
After being a lurker for a while I have finally joined.
I've been a member of some other watch forums for 7-8 years and am a Rolex enthusiast.
Currently I have a BLNR and new Air-King. Previously I have owned SD, Sub, SubC, Daytona SS, Sub LV, Datejusts plus various Omega and Tag Heuer models.
Hope to get involved in the chat,
Cheers

Welcome, I've seen your posts regularly on TRF.
Welcome to the forum. That's a nice back catalogue of watches!
Hi Nairn
Welcome onboard ! Both your watches are very close to the top of my Wish List, BTW !
I have promised myself a Breguet Type XXI next but after that I think I will have to save up for the BLNR.

Hiya :-) Great collection of watches, past and present.
Maybe a strange question but having went through nearly all the Rolexes, how would compare them, what they meant for you at the time and which one was your favorite (if any)? After all, mechanical watches are all about emotions, aren't they :-)
Welcome indeed. Now post pics please and stop teasing

Thanks so much for the welcome, and glad many of you know me from TRF and TURF.
I have tried to post some pics but it doesn't seem easy here as it's always saying they're the wrong size so I'll get that looked at at some point lol.
I've loved every watch I've purchased then something else comes along that seems more shiny lol.
Daily for work I now wear a Tag Heuer Chrono that is nice and shiny, never seems to age, keeps perfect time as it's quartz and gets more compliments than anything else lol. I bought it when my son was born so I'll always keep it.
The SS Daytona, I chased that and eventually got it at RRP from an AD, but I just didn't love it and was always scared to scratch it. I think it was the thrill of the chase. I sold it and made nothing...if only I'd kept it but oh well....
The SubC I traded the LV for. A mistake sadly as the LV was a great watch. The Sub was too, but for me it just lacked in any personality and was just way too boring for me. I traded it shortly after I bought it.
The BLNR I've always wanted since it was launched. I was in the AD one day with my wife and tried the LN and BLNR on side by side. I preferred the BLNR but also loved the GMT LN. The AD could do me a better deal on the LN so I said I'd take it. My wife then said "but you prefer the BLNR". I was then encouraged by my wife to buy the one I really wanted. I do baby my watches and don't wear the BLNR daily, however I truly feel it's the best modern Rolex available. Just my opinion, but I'd urge anyone to try this watch on if they can find one, and just buy it.
The Air-King, well I saw it's release at Basel and hated it, and I was vocal about my hate for it. However it gradually grew on me and I tracked one down to try on. I tried it with a Milgauss, Exp1, and EXP2 and the AK blew me away. It has a pop of colour, great wrist presence, and the technology of the Milgauss for £1k less.....no brainer. I also believe it's an incredible watch although it still has its haters.
Cheers guys
