The Smiths W10's are something of a classic, and still can be found for fairly reasonable prices compared to alot of vintage military pieces out there.
This post encouraged me to give mine an airing today, haven't worn it for a while.
Mine's a bit of a survivor as a couple of years ago with troubling finances almost all my watches were sold off, this was the only one of any value that I decided I couldn't let go.
Lovely! The W10 is a firm favourite here as well. Very robust, comfortable, legible, and manufactured entirely in the UK.
I agree they're just 'right' somehow, mines a 68 Royal Navy 0552.
