    Pre Basel purchase regrets.

I bought my Sea master Planet Ocean 8900 just before the price rise in March. Whilst I was a little smug about dodging the increase I was worried that there would be something launched in Basel that would make me regret tying funds.

Are there any regrets out there?

So did you end up regretting this or is there nothing at Basel for you?

Yes! Got a sweet Citizen Signature Moon Phase with two-tone case and brown croc strap then saw a ETERNA Kontiki chronograph, black PVD for $850 then and $760 now.

Why ask the question but not offer your opinion or experience?

I would imagine there a few recent skydweller purchases that are a little disappointed!

"oh, you have the skydweller, is that the £10k version or the £30k version, I can't tell.."

Presumably someone who was keen to maximise the conspicuousness of their consumption would have opted for either a YG or an Everose model?

The real kicker is that the SS version is MUCH better looking.

Indeed it is - no cut off 5-6-7. I always liked the white gold, and I'm sure I would have added one to join my Daytona, but now I think it's the steel for me, and I'll sell off a number of other watches that wouldn't get a look in, if I buy it :)
It's just a matter of time...

Imagine the AD getting them mixed up at the point of sale.

The deliberately overladen dial design looks happier in the Everose/chocolate combination doesn't it?

Er, no! It always looked best in white gold with a black dial.

The 24 hour ring is less... uh... obvious, as well.

Really, I just want a 36mm Day Date with the same movement sans 24h complication.
