    Recommend repairer for quartz

Hi. My wife's Maurice lacroix has started to play up. The second hand ticks but doesn't move.

I put a new battery in. When you look at the hand under a loupe you can see it trying to move

Anyone got a recommendation to where I can send it? My usual watch guy is semi retired and doesn't do quartz movements

Hi Do You know what model/make number movement it has in it?

It says 956412. Which with a bit of googling seems not that expensive a movement so maybe cheaper to replace?

You could try to gently nudge the seconds hand with a toothpick

If you do choose to replace, rather than service, make sure to order the correct version.

There's a few different variations of the ETA 956.412

And that, after leaving it in a warm place overnight (e.g. airing cupboard).

Cheers. Will give the nudge a go.
