So you thought the gemstone bezel Rolex was bad...

... then what about this Bell & Ross at a cool £136k ?

You're not going to spend a small fortune on a dog's dinner? Not to worry, they've also though of us folk of more modest means, so they also have this one, at a measly £18.7k

On a more serious note, how drunk would you have to be?

Not my cuppa but I must say I saw that in one of the Basel videos and it looks a great piece of engineering in the vid.

I'd much rather their new square cased diver.
It's just a matter of time...

I must admit, I like gemstone Rolex bezels. They're not all hideous. Whether I'd actually have the balls to wear something that looks like it was designed for pimps is another matter.

Even if you were stinking rich and £136k was of as much consequence as 50p is to the rest of us, would you buy that monstrosity??? Except as a present for someone you disliked???

I shudder to think what the depreciation on that watch would be! It would also be interesting to see how many they actually sell at - or even close to £136k. I can't imagine the pre order queue is very long, but I have been surprised before.

    Might grab some headlines though.

For 136k I'd at least want the bezel screw slots to line up.

OOI, has anyone seen a price for the gemstone bezel YM ?

I showed a picture of it to my mum yesterday and she actually, really likes it.

It is the sort of nuts thing she might actually buy as well !

The B&R looks like a bit of an over-complicated dog to me. It is probably a technical tour-de-force but I can think of many better ways to burn that amount of cash though.

    Vertically or horizontally?

Can't blame them for trying; there's evidently a market for this sort of thing:

Bet they outsource its manufacturing to the same suppliers, even.

At least this one looks like a Pollock. That B&R looks like something a 5 yo put together in MS Paint

Quite true, but so do some of Patek Philippe's offerings these days. And unlike Patek, at least B&R had the sense to avoid using MS-default Arial on the dial. :)

I think it's awful, but I guess why wouldn't make it if it didn't have 'a' market somewhere....
