    Is this a nasty fake?

    GMT Master

    I thought the so called Serti dials were only on PM watches.

    It's not nice, but the dial looks sketchy in comparison with pics I've seen of other serti dials. Could it be a dial replacement of a proper GMT master?

    The hand stack looks correct - reps usually have the GMT at the bottom, this one looks like the hour hand is at the bottom, which is correct :)

    No, I've bought mine but still got the searches running, and this came up. To my untutored eye the finish around the rubies looks poor, plus I've only been able to find reference to the Serti dial on precious metal watches. Since I might buy another in the future I'm trying to get the knack of spotting fakes, but the consensus here seems to be it's real but nasty
