I've seen the same watches with and without a dust cover... Most people don't reach that place, I guess, so perhaps cutting costs knowing people won't notice ?
Just had a peek inside my newly purchased 29A and the anti-magnetic dust cover is securely placed in the case back with a gasket holding it firmly in place..
I originally panicked and thought it was missing, but it's definitely in there.
Thank you Eddie for explaining, panic now over. :D

Assuming you've emailed Eddie, what's he said?
Reminds me of my Aerowatch, I very much doubt that Eddie is aware. When you know something is missing, even though it has no impact on the function of the watch, it will be impossibly hard to accept.
I'm not opening mine
I've removed thae case backof both models of the PRS-29 and found the dust cover stuck inside the case back (it's a tight fit). I must ask the question why you would remove the back of a new watch and invalidate the warranty?
Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Yep, it was stuck in the back, held tightly in place with a gasket.
Thank you Eddie, panic now over. :D
