So the 'anyone buying anything from Baselworld?' Thread.

I like the Autavia and I like the blue skydweller but as it stands it's a 'not buying anything' from me.

No, and given the direction Rolex is heading it is less likely than ever I will be buying anything from their current catalogue TBH.

I don't 'need' any of the Omega LEs, but I feel quite strongly that I want one... but not sure what. Need a closer look at the non LE railmaster too.

Blue skydweller for me I think...
But more importantly, with the SD4k discontinued but the Deep Sea still available, I can hope to get a Deep Blue at some point as I am next on the waiting list - was worried they would discontinue. That is the best news of the day

Probably the LE Speedmaster for me. I know it hasn't gone down that well on here but I actually like everything about it. Although when the Speedy Tuesday arrives I will have to decide which one to keep!

Sky Dweller is a massive hit on here!

I can't stop looking at that Zenith posted above. Not sure I could wear it but it's quite pleasing on my eyes

Nothing caught my fancy, I'm afraid.

    * Seadweller 50th

    * Skydweller S/S+WG with Blue dial

Now starts the comedy to actually be able to buy one/both pieces this side of the end of the century......no AD know what they are getting and when so anyone that claims different is talking utter nonsense IMHO.

I was just saying the same a wee while ago on PM to another member.

Seems like since brexit every Rolex bar datejusts and precious metal models have a big wait list. You can't just go into an AD and get the watch you want anymore

I may be living in dreamland but if they have an SS Skydweller when I'm passing through Duty Free later in the year I'll be tempted.

I suspect that once Rolex check the order bank they will decide if that piece goes to the duty free channel, or not....

Will be interesting to see what the wait time is like considering the price. Subs at £6k ish obviously hard to get. DSSD Deep Blue limited numbers, Daytona iconic and has the reputation of outstaimg residuals.

The cheapest skydweller will be £10.6k with 6 or so variants in steel or two tone is the most expensive, and least known to the general watch buying public.

Price seems very reasonable given what it is to me, but over £10k to those not in the know (or not under the spell) may not be

I don't like the cyclops, which is a shame because I don't mind the rest of the watch.

Sky Dweller in blue on order as well as the Seadweller anniversary. Ref the availability, my friendly AD mentioned that stock received was lower in her humble opinion it was because the UK was the cheapest place in Europe.

    SS Sky Dweller in Blue.

Think my DSSD will have to go for it though!

Put my name on the list for the blue SS SkyDweller at the local AD. No idea what that means in terms of actually getting to look at/try/buy a watch though...
