    Straps explained?

I'm a newbie here and i don't know much about straps or bracelets.

I understand that metal bands are known as bracelets and anything else comes under the umbrella of straps (i use that loosely in layman's terms).

My question is what's the difference between a NATO and a Zulu strap?

What are the rubber straps with a metal clasp called (similar to bracelet but rubber instead of links)?

    What's a deployment strap?

    And what's a Brady sailcloth?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm confused by it all.

    Cheers

Without wishing to appear wilfully unhelpful, I would suggest it's probably a smart idea to have a Google around those topics as there's a plethora of interesting information out there.
It'll have the peripheral benefit of unearthing some interesting horological corners of the internet that you might like to bookmark.
    Enjoy!

An example being the helpful website NatoZulu.com :)

    https://www.natozulu.com/content/11-...rap-difference

Try searching for deployant rather than deployment, the hits will probably be more relevant.

Also I suggest searching the Forum first as there are threads about these subjects.

Good to find out about straps though, I hadn't realised how much they make or break a watch until I joined this forum.
