    My first decent watch.

Well after losing out last week on an Omega SMPc I was offered because the seller changed his mind (another site), I finally got my hands on one today and so far loving it.
It's a 9 month old example with all boxes/cards etc, and what I'd call immaculate.
    I'm well chuffed.

Apologies for photo quality not the best, only way I could get them hosted was taking them off my phone. I'll do more reading.....

Congratulations. The SMP was one of my first 'nice' watches too.

You should be chuffed, it's a stunner! Congrats

I still remember the day I got my first SMP; a 2264.50. I picked it up from the AD and felt like I needed G4S with me to take it home!

My first nice watch too - and no regrets: still loving it, though it is now my cheapest (other than quartz)! Great choice, and pretty good value, IMHO.

Great watch there. Bought an Omega end of last year and got one of the grotty red boxes, the one you have there is far nicer!

Thanks all. I love the new wooden box, pity because of the weight it cost £35 RMSD for a Saturday guarantee delivery though, but I'm not home in the week so had to be sure.

Fantastic watches. Got the chrono version, and the same wooden box which is quality. I'm sure you'll enjoy this for many years.

    Very nice.

I think think it's about the best value watch that Omega currently make. As nicely made as some of the more recent models are, I'm just not impressed with quite a lot of the current line up - but there are some stand out models, the SMPc being one of them for me.
It's just a matter of time...

Fully agree i think this is the best VFM watch out there at the moment and it a shame Omega have gone down the make everything more expensive bulky route and if that dosen't work lets introduce more limited editions models than all other watch brands put together.

Great choice, enjoy. Better than the fatties they offer currently. And because you can never have enough photos..

Nice, and if you have only had Rolexes you haven't had a decent watch box.

I think these are great watches, far better than the "phat" PO models. Agree these are one of Omega's best

    I'm still loving the watch.
Just a few more photos with a camera this time instead of my phone, to see if I got the hang of uploading, if not actually photography itself....

You know David, I had exactly the same feeling when I picked up my first decent watch (an Airking in my case) and wore it on the Piccadilly Line from Chiswick where the dealer was into central London.

    Thanks all.
After paying way more than I initially thought to buy this watch, I now find myself looking at other photo's of people's watches that are the next level up, and thinking "oh, that's nice"
    I need help.........
