According to this: Omega caliber 1620..."It is powered by two batteries (SSIH 9909 / Vartachron 547)."

Then this table: link...gives the Varta 392 (and others) as the modern equivalent to the old 547. There is a sales link from the table and they seem also to be available on Amazon and elsewhere.

Edit: The battery type is confirmed on page 2 of the manual: link.

Which model is your 1620 movement in as a matter of interest?

It is the 186.0010 Speedmaster which have been without batteries for a couple of years now. I fitted them in last night and it is running fine, but a bit fast. I believe there was a post here some time ago which stated that these early Omega quartz movements where able to hold +/- 5 sec/month. Mine has deviated 6 seconds since last night. Perhaps the movement need some time to "settle in" or perhaps I need to send it to STS?
Do You know if there is any means of regulating these movements?
    regards
    Terje

I cant get to my computer to check but seem to recall that there is scope for regulation - if you look on my 186.0004 thread there should be a picture.

STS will not service these any longer they send them back to Bienne. Omega would probably put a new movement in there.
