Can you ID Sadiq Khan's watch?

Not the best pic but I've seen watches identified from worse.

From the strap, I'd guess Tag.
But assuming he has some kind of image consultant, it's probably a £30 cheapie to go with the whole 'regular Ted' image.

This is why I'm wondering. I'd love to a politician to have a decent watch and just wear it instead of all the super cheap false public persona pieces we're used to seeing.

Look at Bill Clinton's collection since vacating office vs the Timex Ironman he wore while in it.

Very cool watch. Would be cooler if he wore something similar while still an MP. Unsure if he did or didn't, a feeling.

The dial, hands and strap are shouting Tag at me, I suspect it's this...

I suppose we should all just be grateful it's not an F91W.

Looks familiar, an Oris? He does have at least one Tag though, as seen in the pic here:

Politics is best discussed in the Bear Pit but I imagine it's a comment made in reference to the fact that it's the terrorists watch of choice. Being Muslim, he must be either a terrorist or a shop keeeper.
    So funny I almost laughed.

That said, most Muslims I know, like the one I was out with last night, are surgeons. So they can add a third stereotype. Hope they never need a surgeon.
While I agree that politics is best discussed elsewhere I wonder if there is a nice category for our communal racists and/or xenophobes to retire to.

Analogue, you keep better company than I do but maybe they can have a fourth stereotype: I'm white, Muslim, and work for a tech company. Oh, and not in IT or Finance.

Having experienced SM73's posts elsewhere on the forum I'm pretty sure that's what he meant, he certainly has a wicked sense of humour and no doubt one which is best kept for the Bear Pit.

Second, I don't keep "better" company than you, just different company. It is nice to go out with hospital consultants (Muslim or not) that don't yabber on about work all the time. Critical mass for that is three. Then there is willy waving, even from those not equipped with them.

Thirdly, thanks for adding a fourth stereotype to help the hard of thinking. You've contributed a good'un, there. It's going to confuse some folk, as fellow members, good eggs, have stated.

Keep your sense of humour, wwwwwiiilllllley!

Any idea of the watch the man is wearing ? Aquaracer for me but Formula one has me thinking.

Btw. Muslim is not a race.

Seems normal to label anything racism in these days of lack of understanding anything fed by deliberately confusing demagoguery but that does not make it correct.

Don't be pedantic. It was prejudiced, and I'd rather not see that in Watch Talk.

Looks like an islamophobic comment wasn't one after all.

It does look like a TAG to me, too, probably an aquaracer.

I am consulting on a project that Sadiq is sponsoring at the GLA- if I ever get to meet him, I will ask, although he will probably think I'm a wierdo (he can join the queue on that one...)

Should cheer you up a bit and is imo also quite funny in his thread.

Perhaps you're right. What I should have said was"Don't make comments that seem to show your support for a prejudiced position."

In the context of the thread, your comment seemed to suggest that jokes about Muslims were acceptable because Muslim is not a race. Whether or not that was your intent, your comment put you on one side of the divide in this thread, and I'm happy to be on the other.

Don't complain that I won't tolerate your intolerance.

Only if you want to read it like that.

Better strap on one of those cheerful little Casios that can.
Meanwhile I am going out for a coffee on a sunny terrace so have opted for a solar watch to give it a proper photon boost while I get same.

Which makes me wonder; are there any solar smart watches yet?? Seems a good idea to add a bit of battery reserve.
That is more on topic than most of the last posts; at least about watches.

The question is whether the F91W comments where intended to promote or incite religious or racial hatred.

If all humour directed towards people who hold religious beliefs is banned, perhaps someone should contact Channel 4 and ask that they stop broadcasting Father Ted.

Unbelievable value for money and with a hard to beat image* for free!!!

Over here it stands for no nonsense hard working man not afraid to get his hands dirty.

You can have THE most fun with them and if you would happen to bust one it is most likely to be a strap and then you simply put it on a Nato.

    So enjoy!!

Btw. the gold colored version has been a popular fashion statement for women for an amazingly long time. About two battery lives long now and going as strong as ever.
