Watches like this - suggestions please

I'm interested in recommendations for a new watch styled like the ones below. Key requirements are:

    Blue dial
    Date at 3 o'clock position
Steel rotating bezel (i.e. all steel not a blue insert)
    Automatic movement
Straight or baton hour markers (not triangles)
    About 39mm or 40mm case
Up to about £2000 but a lot cheaper would be great

The first Tag is exactly what I like, but quartz and I can't find an identical auto model.

The Omega is a little too big, not available new, and doesn't have the best clasp adjustment.

I'm not keen on the hour markers or striped dial on this Tag.

I'm not a fan of cushion cases.

^^^ But the Steiny is 42mm, so too large for the OP.

And it has a blue bezel insert. I'm looking for a steel bezel without a coloured insert.

Just get this, the hour markers are virtually the same as the one you do like, and the lined dial is nice - have you handled one? Blue Tag dials usually look great. Or get the quartz and learn to love the accuracy, reliability and no servicing factor.

Not keen on the Arabic numerals and doesn't have the plain steel bezel.

Isn't that the one I have pictured?

I think he means this one, the WAY211C which came in 41mm. I thought they didn't replace it with the 43 - just added to the range? But either way it doesn't satisfy your bezel requirement - I think this one is ceramic. The WAY2112, the other teak dial in your original post, is on my "if one comes up on SC" list. In fact I think I even have a long lost WTB still active for it. Both of them lovely to my eye but I'm not a fan of a cyclops generally so prefer the earlier model.

    This

It ticks so many of the OP's boxes, and to add, it's just a very well executed sports watch. One of the best things that TH make, and not particularly costly

What you need is a Vostok Amphibia SE

    Blue dial - check
    Date at 3 o'clock position - can't have everything
Steel rotating bezel (i.e. all steel not a blue insert) - check
    Automatic movement - check
Straight or baton hour markers (not triangles) - check
    About 39mm or 40mm case – check
Up to about £2000 but a lot cheaper would be great - much, much cheaper

Sorry, I meant the WAY111A version- but Chronometer. It is aluminium bezel insert in dial colour though.
It's just a matter of time...

The Omega is only 41mm have you tried one on? The not new issue is very true however bought at the right price I suspect you'll lose very little depreciation on it, might even gain. If you ever sold I reckon it would be on SC for all of 5 minutes. They're a forum favourite.

Use "Welcomeback" code for a further discount at the moment.

Ah, just realised the numbers might not work for the OP...

Its a pretty specific brief but with that budget and that criteria, I would consider relaxing the 'new' criteria, consider used and look at a Breitling Seawolf maybe ?

Hold on, its probably too big...

Although I have no personal experience, I think it's a strong design, and offers a lot for the money. If you want a decent watch, from a recognised and respected brand, but don't want to spend crazy money, then it is one of the best choices you can make.
