Relative noob but learning quite fast.
Hoping that unlike other forums, this one isn't full of pictures of lovely watches next to firearms.
My recent purchase attached.
Cheers!

Welcome.
Nice sports watch.
Absolutely, but the American forums just seem to be absolutely full of pics of guns rather than watches and lots and lots of posts with "god bless America... it's my right to bear arms" etc etc. Which is lost on me. I'm hoping this forum is mainly about watches.

Watches and shoes I can live with... as long as they're decent shoes lol

I absolutely love it. First Swiss. Yeah, gonna get a SM300 for my next "big" purchase and keep that serious and on the bracelet. But yes i do like a bit of colour.
Damned straight... it is our right to arm bears!

Welcome to the forum. That's a really nice Tudor you have there.
Welcome - a definite soft spot for the Tudor.
Welcome professorfail. I completely get where you are coming from. I left the TGV facebook group for exactly that reason. Don't worry, we are all about watches, shoes and mx5s here.
Absolutely! It's one thing posting a pic of a watch with a gun in the background but when the gun becomes the main thing and you get 15 people posting pics of a watch draped over the barrel of a gun on a watch forum then it's time to go. It's a shame TGV doesn't step in a bit more with his community because i like his videos and i don't get the feeling he carrys a piece

Welcome to the forum....nice piece.
Welcome, and you have great taste in watches sir!
Welcome to the forum .
Welcome.
Seiko, Orient and Tudor - good choices
Hi and welcome to the forum
It is a welcome from me also. Three really nice watches there.
The Tudor is a forum favourite, particularly with the red bezel, but the Orient and Seiko numbers are very well-liked and well-regarded also.
I was going to ask if you were a real professor, but maybe that is not polite of me ? I am sure that there are all sorts of top people here on TZ-UK.
Anyway, thanks for the introduction.

I came to the conclusion some time ago that he's a bit of a fake in that he is all about growing his channel at any cost and he entirely panders to his audience, the majority of whom are pro gun owning Americans (I'm being charitable with that description). Once I realised this I started to question the authenticity and objectivity of his content and at that point he lost me. Thankfully there are alternative watch channels like 'whatchuwant' that you can turn to for proper grounded content. Those guys really know their stuff!
Those 50 fathom homage seiko 5s were real budget forum darlings a few years ago but you hardly see any mention of them now. Still love mine though. Great on a Brady sailcloth strap.

Welcome!
We swap guns for sarcasm.

Further to my "hi" i'd just like to add that i know relatively nothing and have relied on my friends in the know to guide me on purchases. I'm sorry if i make stupid comments from time to time. But willing and eager to learn. Feel free to slap me down if i say something daft.

Hi and welcome. You've made me miss having a diver :(
Why are you without a diver, if you don't mind me asking?

The watch advice on here is excellent. The images of old trainers on SC though does take some stomaching.
Welcome! Nice Tudor!
