This thread reminds me of the first watches which grabbed my attention, chronographs. Only 2 vintage ones in the current collection:

My dad gave me this many years ago. It's from the late 40s apparently.

It does if you use the outer bezel correctly, you can time up to an hour in minutes and seconds.

Here is a Swiss watch in Swedish branding. This is NOT a Russian watch.

Exacta was a Swedish retail brand made by Svenska Urdepoten in Malmö. They used movements from AS, ETA, FHF among others.

    More later:
Is the spring bar in place correctly, on the image it appears that the end link is out of place.

The end links have 'lugs' on the reverse and so can't be much "out of place".

What appears to be a less than perfect fit is a combination of several factors: the angle the picture was taken at, the shadow, the relationship between the curves of the lugs and end pieces.......and what is not a perfect fit

With most of these watches that I have seen, and in most of the pictures of them, the fit is not as well designed or as tight as might be expected on more modern bracelets.

The watches in this thread show why I prefer vintage watches. The sheer amount of variation with manual and automatic movements from Lemania, Valjoux, Landeron, Seiko and Citizen, and also the high quality Seiko quartz chronographs is far more interesting than the current situation with just the ETA 7750 at the lower end of the chronograph market.

Fabulous Omar, except for that tatty old bracelet on the 2446. I'll happily take it off you for a nominal fee.

A Seiko Pogue, Speedie MK2 and a Seiko Bullhead.
