My dad gave me this many years ago. It's from the late 40s apparently.

Some stunning watches on here iv been living with just dive watches for far to long i need to get a few vintage chronographs back in to my small collection again 😐
The end links have 'lugs' on the reverse and so can't be much "out of place".
What appears to be a less than perfect fit is a combination of several factors: the angle the picture was taken at, the shadow, the relationship between the curves of the lugs and end pieces.......and what is not a perfect fit
With most of these watches that I have seen, and in most of the pictures of them, the fit is not as well designed or as tight as might be expected on more modern bracelets.
7A28-7040/49s inc. JDM versions plus 7A38-7070s
The watches in this thread show why I prefer vintage watches. The sheer amount of variation with manual and automatic movements from Lemania, Valjoux, Landeron, Seiko and Citizen, and also the high quality Seiko quartz chronographs is far more interesting than the current situation with just the ETA 7750 at the lower end of the chronograph market.
Was just about to post the same thing.Couldn't agree more Dave.
Oh gosh, so many nice watches....please stop.
A couple of mine.
A Seiko Pogue, Speedie MK2 and a Seiko Bullhead.
IMHO some of the best value 70's Chrono's.
