    Seiko glass replacement

    Hi

My Seiko SARB065 watch is with Steve Burrage and we are drawing a bit of a blank when trying to source a replacement glass...

    Case ref is - 6r15-01SO

It's not available from U.K. Seiko and can't find anything on eBay

Other than that I can go for a nice acrylic replacement but non original

Any thoughts / suggestions would be gratefully received

    Ben

Many older Seiko glasses are now obsolete but they can be replaced by very similar off the shelf acrylics.

I take it you've been on cousins (desktop so you can see pics) site and gone through all the mineral glass and acrylic crystals? Also the PDF's they have can help.

There's so many acrylic crystals I'd be surprised if you can't find one to fit. I know it's not ideal but will tide you over and they are usually peanuts. Just bought one for my Dad's Longines after measuring the old and it was £2.90 or something.

The only mineral glass that might fit on there is the XMD but the sarb065 has a lovely curved crystal and it's it that smooth in comparison.

They also have a domed saphire crystal that could be a good option. Available 26-32mm in 0.1mm increments. Looks like that would clear the hands.

Yes... thanks for the link... got in touch, he doesn't have one in stock, but, has quoted a price - £50 GULP!

Spoke to Steve Burrage and asked him to try and get a trade price!

    Thanks... hope it comes through!
