Omega Speedy pro with dodgy cards (?) or are they OK?

Hi all: I have been offered an Omega Speedy Pro Tintin. The watch was supposedly sold new as NOS in January this year in the US. However, looking at whats coming I am uncomfortable with the warranty card. It has been filled in by hand (surely the card should be pre-printed by Omega for both the model and watch numbers?
What makes me more worried is the pictogram card IS pre-printed.
What's more, the watch number slot has been filled in with the movement number, nit the watch number!
The seller seems very honourable and helpful, but says I needn't worry. Should I steer clear of this watch? I want proper papers and box etc and this looks (to my amateur eyes) 'wrong'.... advice please!!

If in doubt then walk away. It will only bug you otherwise. From the Omegas I have owned it doesn't look correct.

This is not the correct card for the Tintin. The reference and watch number should be pre-printed. If the price is good, it could be worth buying it, just factor in the costs of a service. But resale value could be problematic.

My cards from a 2012 Speedy Pro (3570.50)

All pre-printed other than the date, jewellers stamp for address.

Does the reference number on the watch match?

Only the watch number is on the back of one of the lugs, not the reference number. Not hard to match that when it can be filled in with a pen 😉

I've seen lots of correct hand filled cards from the US in the past, but not sure what the current range come with in the States.
It's just a matter of time...

You can buy blank cards, box, outer box and instruction manuals for £60 .... I would be wary my friend.

Exactly! And yet they didn't even fill the watch number in correctly! Instead they put the movement number. Mad.

I've pushed back on the watch. I'm not taking it. Looks like the seller has taken on board the fact that the warranty card isn't right. No quibbles, he's offered (without my asking) to send my deposit back and so I can put this down to a useful learning experience. Thanks for the helpful comments.

It sounds like you've done the right thing and the outcome has been fairly painless, so good result.

Wise choice. They come up every so often, so I'd just keep my eyes open if I were you. Good luck!
