I can recommend Kerr Gibson from Strap Works. He'll happily discuss that strap over email with no obligation. Just received a strap from him this week and it's really lovely.

I'm looking for someone to make me a strap like the one I have. I realise it will have to be sewn on as the watch has fixed bars but other than that difference I'm just after a copy of the old one using the old buckle and retainers.
I was going to try stevostraps but can't find an email for him. I've found a saddlers in London who said they could make me one but the £250 quote made my eyes water a little.
Any other recommendations please? The watch is a small vintage and most of the straps I've seen so far look like you could tow a car with them so I need something more subtle.

+1 for Steveo straps. First class in every respect.
Pav straps are rather good. http://forum.tz-uk.com/member.php?9281-Pav79
That's what I like about this forum 24hr replies be it 1.30 in the morning or 1.30 in the afternoon.
Got this done at Strap Works. I asked Kerr to replicate the old one the best he could and quite honestly I don't think it could be bettered. Brilliant job, just what I asked for and updates with pictures all the way through.
Returned in less than a week and feels great on the wrist. If you ever need a strap don't hesitate in going to strap works.
Now all I need to do is live for another 70's years to get the grubby patina of the 1st one.
There is a woman on one of my other forums does custom leather, makes allsorts.
Looks great, and I like that it uses the original straps metalwork.
Looks good. Did he re-use the staples from your original strap? It looks like it...if so well done. If not...well done on getting a patina on them rather than shiny brass or steel.
Yes all fittings off the original strap so really happy.
Glad it worked out for you. My strap from Kerr is just perfect - and for what it is, reasonably priced.
That looks to have gone well .

This has definitely been a helpful thread. Thanks! I also have a fixed lug watch that needs a new strap soon.
