A very nice piece if not a little too busy for my tired old eyes.
This is my first JLC, and at the moment feels like my ultimate watch - I can't imagine going higher in terms of cost, nor the sheer joy and wonder this piece gives me. I can't stop taking it off and looking at the movement!

That's a beautiful piece. Nice pics detailing the finish on the watch, Lovely.
A beauty :)
The movement is stunning.
A fantastic piece with some exquisite photos. Thanks for showing.
The pictures are excellent, and the watch, well it's amazing. I don't think I'd dare wear it standing up never mind out of the house.
Congratulations on a sublime watch!
This is great also.
Very nice indeed. I tried one on years ago at the boutique in London and was impressed.
It's just a matter of time...
Stunning.....simply stunning.......congrats....
Another stunner you have there. What photo sharing site are you using?
Stunning piece. Very classy.
That is delightful, what a complication! Great photos and I understand why you keep taking it off to look at that movement.
Love the surfacing of the dial, and the excellent photos highlight the detailing. Well done, and congrats on a spectacular watch!
Oh my, that really is beautiful. Your photos are absolutely superb too.
Fantastic watch...you have a very fine taste sir!!!Congratulations...great quality pics as well
Another fabulous watch. There have been some beauties on here tonight
The detail on the face is stunning, so fine and precise, loving it.
...your photos are simply amazing!!!
Lovely pictures! Just moved on my Duometre Chronographe as it was too large; this is the one I should have gone for. Amazing what a difference 2mm can make.
Has the foudroyante hand driven you nuts yet..? :)
What a lovely watch, wish I had one like it.
this is an amazing watch, congratulations!
Stunning watch and beautiful photos. Congratulations!
Stunning watch!
You have a keen eye for photography.
Completely stunning. It also looks like you have the camera and talent to go with it!
The photographs of the movement, and the extraordinary detail of the dial, are breathtaking.

That's genuinely amazing to discover. Clearly the talent is more important than the camera! Congrats on getting such amazing results with an iPhone.
My sister in law gave me one of those little macro lenses for an iPhone over Christmas. I'm excited to try it now, seeing the results that can be achieved.

I know, I was surprised myself - the lens structure (limitations really, relatively wide depth of field which can be creatively limiting for "normal" photography) on a smart phone lends itself to macros. You still need good light, and depth of field can still be an issue, but the results are decent enough for viewing on the web at least. Mine are all handheld by the way, I tried a cheap tripod and Bluetooth remote but it was more hassle than it was worth ... I should probably revisit it at some point though.
Beautiful photos indeed, and of my absolute grail watch to boot! Ione day I WILL have one of these...
I think this is my favourite of the Duometre series but can you confirm, is the left hand dial really telling you the moon phase in three different ways!?
Yes, although I don't claim to fully understand it myself! The main moon phase display is for the northern hemisphere, than there are two hands to display the phase of the moon in the southern hemisphere, and the age of the moon. I rarely set it though, so for me it's just there to look pretty!
Excuse my ignorance, but are the hands/needles at 5 & 7 power reserve indicators?
If so, why are there 2?
Steve.
Absolute stunner! Congratulations.
You have been posting some lovely pictures of some fabulous watches Andy. Congratulations on them all and thanks for sharing those amazing images.
This particular watch is drop dead gorgeous!

Apparently not. I don't own one but I've looked into them in the past to try to understand how that works. But the whole point is apparently that a complication drawing power from one barrel won't affect the timekeeping powered by the other barrel. In that way it's different from say a conventional 8 Day movement powered by two barrels.
I'm guessing that something similar to a differential might accomplish this. I'd love to know - no doubt someone on the forum does.
This schematic picture might help, as well as the article it came from, but I admit I can't quite deconstruct it despite considering myself reasonably mechanical :). Both the barrels are wound from the same crown as well.
