Word going around is if you sleep with the staff at a Rolex AD you get 25% discount. Maybe those watches are just the eye candy to entice you inside.
Sounds a little like a certain district in Amsterdam.
Might be that they are second hand examples, or perhaps on display until collected by the person who ordered them. Are they stainless steel versions, or bi-metal which are more available I believe?.
