It may fall into either category but we stayed at the 02 Intercontinental back in Nov, lovely hotel just don't stay on a Sun night as they're a bit shy on opening the bars.
Hi All,
Myself and a few of my mates are off to the David Haye v Tony Bellew fight on the 4th of March( a belated 40th bash) just been looking for hotels nearby and all decent ones booked up or silly money. Looking for somewhere either nearby or easy to get to and from the O2. Any advice or recommendations, would be much appreciated
Thanks

Yeah it's coming in around £450 for the night which is a bit above the budget

Tube link is so well organised from the O2 exit I would get a deal wherever (within reason) and just jump on the tube.

We're back at the O2 in Feb but are staying at a hotel near Hyde Park, it's only a 10 min walk to Green Pk stn then a direct tube from there.
Ones I suspect will be reasonable on a Sunday as primarily business hotels.
NOVOTEL blackfriars and ibis blackfriars are next door to Southwark station on the Jubilee, same pair at London Bridge
H10 Waterloo, 5 min walk to Waterloo on the Jubilee
Park Plaza Westminster both Waterloo and Westminster stations handy on Jubilee.
You mention there are a few if you- I've booked apartments in Canary Wharf area, sleeping six people or so, works out cheaper than hotels.
for gigs there is a direct watertaxi from tower bridge that you can pre-book, leaves 15 mins after the show ends. Ive used it a couple of times and it worked perfectly
Hi Mate
We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton last march for the Country 2 Country gig at the 02 , There is a free Hotel Water Taxi across to Canary Wharf then you can get the Tube or the Thames Clipper to the 02, when we came out we got a cab back to the Hotel (loads waiting) cost £16 looks like rooms are about £170.00 for the 4th March ATM

As Rob said worth looking at Apartments as they can work out better value and are usually a high standard around the Canary Wharf area

The Premier Inn at Westfield Stratford is just a few minutes away on the Jubilee Line. Cheap and cheerful option if you just need somewhere to crash.
Get the Thames O2 clipper. Fantastic way to get to the O2, especially coming back at night with London all lit up, spectacular, and you can have a drink. Beats the tube.
Plus straight out of the door and onto the boat, no queuing.
